What changes by default?
Only trailing spaces and tabs are trimmed. Leading indentation, paragraphs, punctuation and Unicode characters are kept. Turn off that option for an unchanged copy. Browser editors use LF line endings.
Can it fix text copied from a PDF?
Join wrapped lines merges ordinary lines within blank-line-separated paragraphs. Code fences, indentation, headings, list items and table-like lines keep their boundaries. It cannot infer columns, missing paragraphs, hyphenation or meaning. Always review the result; keep joining off for poetry and other layout-sensitive text.
Will it remove invisible characters?
It does not strip joiners, directional controls or other invisible Unicode characters. Some are important to language and emoji. Replacing non-breaking spaces is a separate choice. This tool does not identify or redact personal information.
What are the file and preview limits?
Open one UTF-8 TXT file per input, up to 2 MB. Each input accepts up to 1,000,000 text units; emoji may count more than once toward that limit. Lists support up to 50,000 items per input. The preview shows up to 100,000 text units; copy and download include the complete result. Empty result groups download as empty TXT files. Original files are never overwritten.
Is my text uploaded or saved?
Processing happens in a local browser worker. This tool does not upload text or save drafts. Your text stays in this tab; copy or download a result before leaving. Changing inputs or options clears the old result so it cannot be exported by mistake.
