Cookie Policy
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites. They remember preferences and enable functionality. Not all cookies track you.
2. Current cookie status
InstantWordCount does not currently set HTTP cookies through its own application code. It uses local browser storage for essential preferences and optional locally saved work. Hosting or security infrastructure may use strictly necessary mechanisms to deliver or protect the site.
3. What we don’t currently use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Product analytics cookies
- Behavior-replay scripts
- Social media advertising pixels
4. Analytics status
No analytics platform is currently active on InstantWordCount. If this changes, we will update this page with the analytics provider, purpose, legal basis, and any consent options before enabling it.
5. Local storage
Browser storage may remember your theme, dismissed notices, selected views, recent settings and work you explicitly save locally. A short-lived entry may also carry a draft between compatible tools. Uploaded image and PDF contents are not intentionally saved there. See the Privacy Policy for categories and retention details.
6. Optional font and AI downloads
The browser may request fonts from Google Fonts. Local background removal may download runtime and model files from jsDelivr, staticimgly.com or Google-hosted storage when first used. These requests are not cookies, but providers receive ordinary connection information and the browser may cache downloaded files. Selected photos and drafts are not intentionally included in those requests.
7. Managing browser storage
You can delete InstantWordCount site data through your browser settings. This removes associated local preferences, history, projects and presets and may make the storage notice appear again. Core tools remain available if browser storage is blocked, although local saving and preferences may not persist.
