No for the normal writing workflow. Word counts, readability checks, SEO review, outline extraction, metadata suggestions and exports run on your device rather than being uploaded to a backend.
The site stores your cookie preference, theme preference, optional local history snapshots, a short-lived draft handoff between tools, and optional content-target settings such as keyword or audience. Those values stay in browser storage on your device.
No. The counter is the starting point, but the suite also includes SEO review, headline analysis, meta generation, SERP previews, content gap checks, email subject testing, outline extraction, n-gram analysis, social-limit checks, Open Graph image generation, passport and ID photo making, image compression, resizing, cropping, watermarking, PDF editing, PDF-to-Word text extraction and cleanup utilities.
It is built for bloggers, marketers, SEO writers, newsletter operators, editors, landing-page teams and solo publishers who need practical revision help while drafting.
Most people start in the main editor, clean rough copy there, move into outline or SEO review, then tighten the headline, generate metadata, and finally check social limits or exports before publishing.
No third-party photo upload APIs are used. The writing, cleanup, image, PDF and conversion tools run in the browser where possible. Some optional tools may download client-side JavaScript libraries, WebAssembly files or browser model files, but your pasted text and selected files are not sent to InstantWordCount for processing.
The Background Remover and Passport Photo Maker support browser-side background removal or replacement, solid colors, light backgrounds and custom image backgrounds. Complex outdoor photos, hair detail, shadows and low contrast edges can still need manual review, so always check the final image before official or public use.

Support depends partly on what the browser can decode and encode, but the current tools are designed around common web formats such as JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, SVG, PDF-related workflows, DOC/TXT/HTML text extraction, passport-photo JPG/PNG/WebP exports, print-sheet PNG exports, ZIP downloads and generated social-image outputs.
No active product analytics script is enabled right now. If analytics are added later, the privacy and cookie pages should be updated first with the provider, purpose, consent approach and opt-out details.
No. The core experience is meant to be usable immediately without creating an account.
Check the input, selected options, and whether the content is extremely short or unusually formatted. For image tools, try a different output format, quality setting, resize mode, or source file.
