1. Overview
InstantWordCount.com is committed to protecting your privacy. Your words belong to you — we have engineered the product so that it is technically impossible for us to read, receive, or store your text content.
2. Data we collect
We collect very little personal data. The site may log standard technical request data such as browser type, basic device information, and server-level connection metadata required to deliver the website. We also store a cookie preference flag if you dismiss the cookie banner.
3. Your content and files
Text analysis and supported file tools run inside your browser using client-side JavaScript. Draft content you paste or type, along with images you select for conversion, compression, resizing, cropping, watermarking, Open Graph/social-image generation, background placement, or PDF creation, is not intentionally sent to our servers for processing. Local previews, canvases, temporary output files, ZIP files, generated social images, and PDF buffers are created in memory on your device while the page is open. Optional local history is stored in your own browser storage on your device and can be cleared by you at any time.

We do not use ad-tech tracking cookies for profiling your writing activity.
5. Analytics status
InstantWordCount does not currently use product analytics, visitor tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or user-behavior replay tools. If privacy-friendly analytics are added in a future release, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated before rollout.
6. Third-party services
- Google Fonts: Used for typography delivery. Google may receive standard font-request information.
- Client-side libraries: Some optional browser tools may load JavaScript libraries from a content delivery network, such as QR code and PDF utility libraries. Tool content remains in your browser and is not sent to InstantWordCount for processing.
- Uploaded backgrounds and generated images: Image files used inside canvas tools are handled locally in the browser preview and export flow. They are not uploaded to InstantWordCount for editing.
- Infrastructure and hosting: Basic connection logs may exist at the hosting layer for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
7. Your rights
You can clear local draft history, theme settings, cookie preferences, and optional workspace targets from your browser at any time. If you have a privacy question about how the site operates, contact [email protected].
