Compare lists.

Find what is missing. Keep what matches.

Processed on your device

Compare two lists to find missing and shared items. Choose exact or optional case and space matching, then download the result. Processed on your device.

Your text stays in this tab. Open UTF-8 TXT files up to 2 MB. Copy or download before leaving.

Matching choices

One line is one item. Options affect matching; results keep the first original spelling and order. IDs such as 001 and 1 remain different.

Choose options, then run the task.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Know what changed.

Use explicit choices, review the result and keep a copy. Your original input stays in place.

How is this different from comparing revisions?

This tool checks whether items occur in each list, regardless of line position. Repeated items appear once in the result. For changed wording and line-by-line revisions, use Text Diff Checker.

How do matching choices work?

Matching is exact by default. Optional edge trimming ignores ASCII spaces and tabs for matching only. Ignore case uses Unicode lowercasing, not language-specific or full case folding. Equivalent-accent matching uses canonical NFC normalization; it does not treat circled numbers or similar-looking characters as ordinary numbers or letters. The first original item is kept in output.

Can I compare spreadsheets or email addresses?

Paste one column, with one item per line. A CSV row with commas is one complete item; this tool does not parse columns, validate email addresses, ignore leading zeroes or guess equivalent values. Use CSV Cleaner first if you need to prepare a column. Blank inputs are allowed, so a one-sided comparison still works.

What are the file and preview limits?

Open one UTF-8 TXT file per input, up to 2 MB. Each input accepts up to 1,000,000 text units; emoji may count more than once toward that limit. Lists support up to 50,000 items per input. The preview shows up to 100,000 text units; copy and download include the complete result. Empty result groups download as empty TXT files. Original files are never overwritten.

Is my text uploaded or saved?

Processing happens in a local browser worker. This tool does not upload text or save drafts. Your text stays in this tab; copy or download a result before leaving. Changing inputs or options clears the old result so it cannot be exported by mistake.
